Site Under Construction

Our History

Masaka Pentecostal Church was started in 1994 as a church plant of Watoto Church, then known as Kampala Pentecostal Church. With only about 22 young people, the church purchased its own property in 1996 (after about 2 years of existence). In 2001, a new drive to draw up the plans for the mega 3,000 sitter church began. At the time the drive started, the church was about 68 member strong including children. The joke was that since the wife of the pastor and another lady were pregnant, the number was rounded off to 70 as the seed number that believed God for the construction of a place that would be able to host at least a tenth of the population of Masaka Municipality at that time.
In October 2003, the construction began, purely as a work of faith in the God of the Bible. This year, as we celebrate 25 years of existence, we are trusting God for the completion of the facility with a TV and Radio station.
